.Focus AppliedTechnologies Focus AppliedTechnologies started as a university spin-off created to address the need forhigh-level engineering tools for universities and industry. Through ourextensive research experience we have developed a series of training andworkshops which are popular among both industry and academia. We continue toprovide products, training programs and consultation services, and we are stilla proud supporter of the University Science Malaysia. We firmly believe that ina globally competitive market the only way to insure future prosperity isthrough industry—university collaborations which help bring leading edgetechnologies to market quickly.

Founded in 2008, Focus Applied Technologies Sdn.Bhd. (Co. No. 808620-V) wasformed as a technology spin-off partner of the University Science Malaysiaassociated with the USM Engines Laboratory. We are located in Kedah, Malaysiaon a 2.5 acre lot at 1174 Jalan Hutan Lipur, Sg. Kecil Hilir, Nibong Tebal,Penang. As of 2009 we have already outgrown our initial structure and havebegun work on a much larger building at the same location.

 Our customer basehas grown out of the initial university related contacts to the internationalmarket. We are currently involved in projects in India, the Philippians,Thailand and Taiwan. Our goal is to leverage off of the domestic strengths andresources of Malaysia to advantageously take on the global market.

 Our internationalwork consists of vehicle usage pattern measurements, fuel consumption andemissions analysis as well as the implementation of technologies to reduce theemissions and fuel consumption from vehicular sources. We also work with theUN  Climate ChangeCommission on similar issues from the legislative/regulatory end.
