The company was established as a importer and wholesaler for acrylic bathroom ware in 2001. It started manufacturing spa baths and has established itself as a high end spa bath manufacturer in the South African market. In 2006 a sister company, Cape Design Bathworks (CDB) was formed which manufactures acrylic baths and shower trays exclusively for Wode Trading.
The first products were exported into the European market in 2007.
