Kedma Trading Pvt. Ltd., was incorporated in 1998. One of its Divisions is engaged in the export of handmade Bobbin laces, also called Pin lace or Pillow laces of Belgian design.

India 's lace making tradition started as a way to help young women earn a living, when Belgian Catholic nuns from Europe began arriving in India as missionaries about 300 years ago. Lace had long been a form of sustenance for women of the church and charity institutions Lace making continues to provide women with a livelihood in rural pockets of India
