Jiangsu Meilan Group  

Jiangsu Meilan Group (the former Taizhou Electro-chemical Plant), established in 1958, occupies land of 300, 000 m2 and has 1, 800 workers and staff members of whom 360 are technical professionals. It is a provincial enterprise, national key high-tech enterprise, national large-sized chemical enterprise, a developing enterprise in Jiangsu Province, and a cardinal base engaged in researching, developing, and producing organic fluorine in China. At present, the group mainly produces five series of products, including fluororesin, fluoro refrigerant, chlorine alkali, pesticide and thermo-electricity. It has near 40 kinds of products, such as "Meilan" teflon resin, copolyfluoride resin, perfluoropropylene, fluoro refrigerant-22, HFC-134a (substitute for fluorotrichloromethane), HCFC-141b, Caustic soda, and "Yi Miao (benefit seeding)" brand agricultural pesticides.

Ever since "8. 5" (the 8th 5-year plan), Meilan Group has laid emphasis on the improvement of science and technology, cooperated with natinal key research institutes, devoted great efforts to adjusting product structure, and carried out many national "Huo Ju (torch)" projects, "Shuang Jia (double excellent)" projects, and key high-tech projects of the 8th and 9th 5-year plans.

Fixing its eyes on the future, Meilan Group has made its mind to promote the development of national fluoride industry, made a developing strategy of "based on world chemical industry", and passed three 2-year plans, taking an active part in the competition in the field of the fluoride industry in the world.

Meilan Group is carrying out a national project of "Shuang Gao Yi You (two high, one excellent)", two projects of the state Huo Ju Plan and two projects of Huo Ju Plan of Jiangsu Province. Beside, it is accelerating its globlizing progress and actively seeking ways of cooperating with the world top 500 enterprises in chemical industry.
