KONKUK is a company specializing in anti explosion technology for gas safety whose main business field is aerosol valve, portable gas range, home gas range, etc. Currently, since an aerosol valve first applied to a butane container and was developed lest it should explode even though put into a fire, KONKUK granted usage rights to Korea's largest butane container maker and receives the usage fee.

Portable gas ranges with a built-in non-explosive valve are also developed and sold through an outsourced company. Non-explosive portable gas range called 'SAFIRE' already took certificates of CE and UL for exporting. Domestic patent was registered early this year(2004). International patent is in progress for registration to 26 countries. Among them Taiwan Patent was registered in 2004.
